The Social Services Cluster 2A Ministers will tomorrow, Tuesday 18 October at 14.00, be in the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) to respond to Questions for Oral Reply during a hybrid plenary sitting.
The Social Services Cluster 2A consists of Ministers responsible for Basic Education and Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
Holding regular question and answer sessions by the President, Deputy President, and Cabinet Ministers is one of the methods in which Parliament, as specified in section 92(2) of the Constitution, holds the Executive to account.
Ministers will amongst others answer questions on increasing illiteracy among learners, increase in substance abuse in schools, annual drop out of students and forensic investigations into National Skills Fund.
