The leaders of the five BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) have come together in South Africa this week to reaffirm their commitment to mutual respect, equality, and solidarity within their collaboration. Furthermore, the values of democracy, openness, inclusiveness, collaboration, and consensus have been included in the summit discourse. The aim of this summit was to strengthen cooperation in political security, economic and financial standpoints, and important cultural and people-to-people aspects. The goal of BRICS is to enhance their strategic partnership for the benefit of their people and by promoting peace, a fairer international order, a reformed multilateral system, sustainable development, and inclusive growth are the fundamental chief points needing to be addressed.
