The Road Fund has announced the appointment of Mrs. ‘Mats’epang Sekhokoane as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective on a five-year contract. Sekhokoane becomes the fourth CEO in the organization’s history and its first female leader.
Mr. Mocheta Makara, a member of the Road Fund’s board of directors, emphasized that Sekhokoane’s primary responsibility will be to enhance revenue collection to ensure adequate financing for road infrastructure projects.
In response, Mrs. Sekhokoane expressed her commitment to working closely with the Fund’s employees to ensure efficient revenue collection and effective road maintenance. She also aims to improve service delivery through teamwork and strategic management.
Mrs. Sekhokoane brings extensive experience to her new role, having previously worked with the World Bank, the Lesotho Revenue Authority, the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority, and held diplomatic positions at the Embassy in Beijing, China.
