Minister to Present Development Indicators and MTDP Progress Reports
PRETORIA – Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Maropene Ramokgopa, will brief the media on South Africa’s 2024 Development Indicators Report and the Biannual Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP) 2024–2029 Monitoring Reports on Tuesday, 12 August 2025.
The Development Indicators Report, produced annually by the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME), provides an evaluation of the country’s development path and the effects of public policies. The report is compiled using a standardised set of statistical indicators aligned with the National Development Plan and government priorities over successive five-year terms.
The DPME also issues biannual monitoring reports on the MTDP 2024–2029, tracking progress in implementing government priorities. These reports are presented to Cabinet and outline progress towards planned outcomes.
