Parliament, Wednesday, 4 December 2024 – Deputy President Paul Mashatile will participate in the final 2024 Question-and-Answer session with the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) on Thursday, 5 December 2024, at 14:00. The session will take place in the NCOP Chamber and on virtual platforms.

This session fulfills the constitutional requirement under section 92(2), which mandates Parliament to ensure the executive is held accountable for its functions and performance.

The Deputy President will address questions on:

  • National government support for spaza shops in response to food poisoning incidents.
  • Mechanisms to manage intergovernmental debt.
  • Progress in accelerating land reform and coordinating agricultural support programs.

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO CONCLUDE 2024 BUSINESS WITH HYBRID PLENARY SESSION
