BANJUL – 12 JUNE 2024: The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly is pleased to announce that the Second Ordinary Session of the National Assembly for the 2024 Legislative Year will be held from Monday, June 24 to Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

During this session, His Excellency Mr. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic, will deliver his State of the Nation Address (SoNA) on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in accordance with Section 77 (1) of the 1997 Constitution and Order 24 of the Standing Orders of the National Assembly.

The session will also include discussions on government business, oral answers to questions posed to Hon. Ministers, reports from various committees and parliamentary delegations, and consideration of motions and bills.

Access to the SoNA will be by invitation only for the Assembly Chambers, but the event will be open to the general public in designated outside tents.

Daily sittings will commence promptly at 10:00 a.m. Attendees wishing to join the daily sessions should obtain an admittance card from the Office of the Clerk.

The public is reminded to adhere to the standard dress code (traditional or formal suit) and to maintain silence during the proceedings.
