Press Release: First Extraordinary Session of the 2024 Legislative Year
BANJUL, The Gambia – April 15, 2024: The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly announces that the National Assembly will hold its First Extraordinary Session of the 2024 Legislative Year from Monday, April 22, to Tuesday, April 23, 2024, starting at 10:00 a.m.
During this session, the Assembly will address several critical matters of state, including:
1. The Special Prosecutor’s Office Bill, 2024
2. The Special Accountability Mechanism Bill, 2024
The Honorable Attorney General and Minister for Justice will present these bills for the Assembly’s consideration.
Daily sessions will commence promptly at 10:00 a.m. Attendees are required to obtain an admittance card from the Office of the Clerk at the entrance gate.
Please note that a standard dress code (traditional or formal suit) is required, and attendees are requested to maintain silence during the proceedings.
