On Wednesday, hundreds of Moroccans gathered in front of the parliament to protest against Israel’s military actions in the Gaza Strip. Demonstrators called for Arab and Islamic nations to intervene and halt Israel’s assault, chanting slogans like “No to normalization with the enemy” and “No Nakba after the Al-Aqsa Flood.”

Abdulkadir al-Alami, President of the Moroccan Action Group for Palestine Support, commented on the situation, asserting that the anticipated second Nakba did not occur following Hamas’s Operation Al-Aqsa Flood attacks due to the strong resistance from Palestinians. He emphasized that Palestinian resistance is destined to succeed and will not back down.

Since Hamas’s cross-border attack on October 7 of the previous year, which resulted in around 1,200 Israeli casualties, Israel has launched extensive strikes on Gaza. Palestinian health authorities report that over 35,200 Palestinians have been killed, with the majority being women and children, and more than 79,000 injured.

In the West Bank, nearly 500 Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured since the conflict escalated, with ongoing Israeli military raids. The International Court of Justice has accused Israel of “genocide,” ordering that it take measures to prevent such acts and ensure the provision of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza.
