The Presidency has noted the ruling handed down by the Western Cape High Court this afternoon, 08 September 2022, stating that President Cyril Ramaphosa’s decision to suspend Adv Busisiwe Mkhwebane is invalid.
Section 172(2)(a) of the Constitution of South Africa states that any decision to rule the conduct of the President as Constitutionally invalid must be confirmed by the Constitutional Court of South Africa.
Therefore section 172(2)(a) guides the next phase of the process.
