The President of the African Parliamentary Union in office and of the National Assembly HE.Mohamed Ali proceeded this Monday to the opening of the 76th Session of the Executive Committee and 43rd Conference of the African Parliamentary Union at the Kempinski Hotel, in the presence of the Secretary General (UPA) Mr. IDI Gado Aboubacar and alongside his counterparts from Burundi and South Sudan, thus more than hundred delegates members of the African Parliamentary Union from 22 African States took part in this seat.

This session was an opportunity to review the implementation of the decisions and recommendations of the 42nd Conference:
•Review and adoption of the annual work program for 2022
•Review of the Audited Management Account for the 2019 financial year
•Examination and adoption of the draft budget for the 2022 financial year
•Examination and adoption of the draft agenda of the 43rd Conference
•Draft agenda of the 77th Session of the Executive Committee
•Date and place of the 77th Session of the Executive Committee.
The objective of this meeting made it possible to promote contacts between African parliamentarians, and on the one hand the treatment of issues of common interest. It should be noted that this work of the said session was all supported and adopted with recommendation by all the delegates. Finally, this meeting which began today will continue until October 15, and on this occasion a meeting of the committee of women parliamentarians of the UPA will meet on October 14 on the theme “the political and social role of African women facing the Covid-10 health crisis.
